Ph.D. (1978) and D.Sc. (habilitation, 1991) thesis on analytical chemistry of noble metals at the Faculty of Chemistry at the Warsaw University of Technology.

 

Main research interests and expertise:

Analytical chemistry of noble metals.

UV-VIS spectrophotometry.

Inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometry (ICP-MS).

 

The co-author of three books devoted to the application of UV-VIS spectrophotometry in inorganic analysis [1,2,3].

The author of a chapter on analytical chemistry of noble metals in the Encyclopedia of Analytical Chemistry [4].

The author or co-author of a number of review articles on analytical chemistry of noble metals and modern analytical techniques applied to the determination of traces of elements in various materials [5-14].

The author or co-author of numerous original research papers [15-24 as representative].

Numerous scientific presentations at national and international symposia and conferences.

 

A reviewer of research and review papers on analytical chemistry for the recognized scientific journals, e.g. Analytica Chimica Acta, Microchimica Acta, Talanta, International Journal of Environmental Analytical Chemistry, Phytochemical Analysis, Atmospheric Environment, Environmental Pollution, International J. AOAC, Spectroscopy Letters, Trends in Analytical Chemistry, Chemia Analityczna (Warsaw).

 

A member of two Commissions (Trace Inorganic Analysis Commission, Reagents and Analytical Reactions Commission) of the Analytical Chemistry Committee of the Polish Academy of Sciences.

 

 

Educational activity:

 

Lectures on (1) Fundamental Analytical Chemistry for undergraduate students, (2) on Speciation Analysis of Metals and Metalloids for M.Sc. students and (3) on The Role of Analytical Chemistry in Environmental Studies for Ph.D. students.
